KSPN (710 ESPN)/Los Angeles Extends USC Deal to 2011
KSPN-AM (710 ESPN Radio)/Los Angeles inks a contract extension with USC have to remain the home of USC football and men's basketball through the 2010-11 seasons. USC Athletic Director Mike Garrett and KSPN GM Bob Koontz had previously announced a 3-year deal in April, which ran through the 2008-09 seasons.
Under the extension, KSPN will be able to broadcast all Trojans football and men's basketball games live, as well as shift select women's basketball games on its sister station "Radio Disney AM 1110." USC football broadcasts will continue to include 90 minute pre- and post-game shows, while basketball games will have 60-minute pre-game and 30-minute post-game shows.
USC football announcers Pete Arbogast, Paul McDonald and John Jackson as well as men's basketball announcers Rory Markas and Jim Hefner will continue to call games for their sports. (07-12-07)
